Description:
• Coordinate provider requests for specialist visits, tests and expedited imaging orders. Includes scheduling visits, notifying IDT and participant, placing on TruChart calendar, arranging transportation and documenting in EMR. Ensures any cancelled appointments/tests/orders are rescheduled in a timely manner. Tracks to ensure specialist visit notes and test/order results are obtained and incorporated into the medical record in a timely manner.
• Makes phone calls to participants about upcoming appointments as well as fills out reminder slips to be mailed.
• Ensures active orders/authorization numbers for procedures and services are obtained and recorded in the EMR.
• Works collaboratively with other departments/colleagues to meet participant and provider needs. Collaborates with other departments/colleagues to identify opportunities/issues and to implement and evaluate potential solutions.
• Assists with scanning, filing, faxing, as well as any other office duties needed Intermittent coverage of reception desk when primary colleague is off/breaks.
