Our team brings deep expertise across partnership sales and marketing, talent management, event production, media, community building, and IP development.

For over 20 years, The Evolution Championship Series (Evo), has produced the largest and longest-running fighting game tournament conventions in the world. Our events are rallying points where fans, publishers, developers, and brands celebrate fighting games and the communities that love them. Beyond our established live events, Evo's mission continues to evolve to create, celebrate, and renew fighting game fandom.

Role Overview

As the Technical Director you will be responsible for the technical planning, development and execution of Evo's live broadcasts, select on-site experiences, studio productions and associated content creation. Over the course of your work you will collaborate with multiple teams at Evo alongside our globally located production partners to ensure that Evo productions are executed at a level that meets or exceeds the expectations of fighting game fans worldwide.

  • RFP Writing: Assist in writing RFPs with a focus on technical expectations for potential broadcast partners globally.
  • Evo Team Collaboration: As part of the Evo team, you will collaborate and communicate across Evo Production teams to ensure they have the technical solutions available for their productions.
  • Technical Production Design: Design the technical infrastructures needed to execute both live event and non-event productions.
  • Managing the Technical Team: Hire and manage the engineers and personnel necessary to support all of Evo's video productions. Negotiate contracts and fees of both freelancers and full-time employees that will be your direct reports.
