Vail, Colorado offers mountain access with Gore Creek running through town and Vail Mountain rising directly above the village. Betty Ford Alpine Gardens sits at 8,200 feet near Ford Park, and the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater hosts seasonal performances within walking distance of central Vail. White River National Forest surrounds the area, and trail access to Booth Falls and Gore Valley routes places hiking and scenic viewpoints within a short drive.
